Dean T. Adams is a senior associate in the San Diego area office. Mr. Adams is the co-chair of the firm’s Student Practice Group. Mr. Adams's expertise is in labor and employment, special education and local government. He represents school districts in federal court, superior court and administrative hearings. Mr. Adams frequently presents on topics relating to special education and labor and employment to school district administrators and staff.
Previously, Mr. Adams was an associate and law clerk with another California education law firm, and a student advocate with the University of San Diego Mental Health Legal Clinic. He has worked as a law clerk with the California Teachers Association, a union representative with the United Food and Commercial Workers and a field representative with State Senator Jack O’Connell. Mr. Adams has been published in the 2005 issue of the San Diego International Law Journal.
Mr. Adams is a member of the San Diego County Bar Association, the California Council of School Attorneys, the Order of the Barristers, the San Diego International Law Journal and was a member of the University of San Diego School of Law National Appellate Moot Court Board. Mr. Adams received his J.D. from the University of San Diego School of Law. He received his M.A. from the University of Baltimore and his B.A. from California Polytechnic State University, San Luis Obispo. He was admitted to the California State Bar in 2004. He is admitted to practice in the United States District Courts for Southern and Central Districts of California.
