Rob Piacente is a partner in the firm's Fresno office. His practice includes general education law, with a primary focus on school personnel matters. Mr. Piacente is experienced with and has represented districts in all aspects of school employment, including classified and certificated disciplinary actions, pre-employment, salary, benefits and leave issues, and certificated and classified and staff reductions. Furthermore, he has represented districts in grievance arbitrations and at various proceedings before the Public Employment Relations Board.

A skilled presenter and popular speaker, Mr. Piacente has conducted a wide array of workshops for school clients on issues as diverse as personnel matters, student issues, the Brown Act, and other general education law topics. He is also a frequent presenter for the Personnel Administrators Academy for the Association of California School Administrators in Fresno.

A former General Counsel for the Fresno County Office of Education as well as a lawyer working in private practice, Mr. Piacente has assisted districts both internally and externally in all facets of education and employment matters. Mr. Piacente has also taught classes in general education law and personnel administration as part of the Tier II Administrative Credential program at California State University, Fresno.

Mr. Piacente received his J.D. from the San Joaquin College of Law in 1992, and holds a B.A. from California State University, Fresno.
