Kelley Owens is an associate in the San Diego area office.  Ms. Owens’ interests include litigation, labor and employment, business and facilities, special education, and student matters.

During law school, Ms. Owens served as a summer law clerk in the firm’s San Diego area office.  As a law clerk, Ms. Owens gained valuable experience performing legal research, drafting documents and interacting with clients.  Ms. Owens also prepared conference materials on controversial school issues such as student free speech and cyberbullying. 

While in law school, Ms. Owens was a member of the National Moot Court Team, earning First Place Oralist in the McLennon Moot Court Competition and competing in the ABA Appellate Advocacy Competition in Washington, D.C.  In her third year of law school, Ms. Owens volunteered as a debate coach at the Monarch School in downtown San Diego.  Ms. Owens received her J.D. from the University of San Diego School of Law in 2008 and earned her B.S., cum laude, from the University of Southern California in 2004.
