Wesley B. Parsons is a partner in the Los Angeles office. Mr. Parsons represents and advises school districts, county offices of education, and special education local plan areas with regard to all aspects of special education law and practice. Prior to joining the firm, Mr. Parsons was an attorney in both the public and private sectors, representing local education agencies at all levels of special education due process proceedings. Among the many special education issues on which Mr. Parsons has particular expertise are: IEP development; nonpublic and private services; abused and neglected youth, and jurisdictional/residency matters. In addition, Mr. Parsons has provided training to school administrators on a variety of special education legal issues including student discipline, extended school year obligations, after-school programming, student homelessness, and transportation services.
Prior to attending law school, Mr. Parsons was a teacher at the Early Childhood Education and Infant/Toddler Centers at the University of California, Irvine. He earned his law degree from Loyola Law School in Los Angeles, California, in 1999. He was admitted to the California State Bar that same year. Mr. Parsons received his Bachelor of Arts degree in 1991 from the University of California, Irvine.
