Laurie E. Reynolds is a partner in the Oakland office.  She has extensive experience representing school districts and public agencies.  Ms. Reynolds has specific expertise in special education, student matters, business and property, and appellate law.  She has successfully represented school districts in a number of due process hearings and mediation conferences.  Her skills extend to drafting and reviewing transactional documents including construction contracts, joint use agreements and lease finance agreements.  In addition, she is an expert on the laws affecting public entities in California, including the Ralph M. Brown Act and the Public Records Act. Ms. Reynolds has advised governing boards regarding conflicts on interest and political activities.

Ms. Reynolds regularly presents workshops for board members and school administrators in the areas of special education, student discipline and other student issues.  She has presented on these topics at the Association of California School Administrators' annual conferences, the Council for Exceptional Children's fall conferences, and for numerous public school districts throughout California.

Ms. Reynolds graduated from the University of California, Hastings College of the law, where she served on the Moot Court Board and as Note Editor for the COMM/ENT Law Journal.  She was admitted to the California State Bar in 1990.  She received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Government from the University of Notre Dame.
